China releases Analects of Confucius versions for Belt and Road countries

On May 15th, the publication of "The Belt and Road” (B&R) Chinese Characters of 2021 was held in Nishan Sacredland. Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies and the Confucius Foundation of China released the Analects of Confucius in five languages for Belt and Road countries, which were the latest achievements of the Translation Project of the Analects of Confucius.

The Analects of Confucius Bilingual versions in five languages

The Translation Project of the Analects of Confucius is a public welfare project that the Confucius Foundation of China has been focusing on since 2004. The Analects of Confucius has already been translated into English, French, German, Russian, Japanese and Korean.

On the basis of the original publication, Nishan World Center for Confusion Studies and China Confucius Foundation intensified their efforts to plan the Translation Project of the Analects of Confucius for Belt and Road countries, translated the Analects of Confucius into five languages: Arabic, Mongolian, Spanish, Czech and Portuguese. This not only is in response to B&R, spread Chinese culture, tell true stories of China, strengthen the cooperation with countries along B&R , satisfy the eager desire of people in these countries to learn and understand Chinese culture, but also more convenient for more people with different cultural backgrounds to read and study the Analects of Confucius, which is of great significance in carrying forward excellent traditional Chinese culture and promoting cultural exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations in B&R countries and regions.
