The First China-ASEAN Art Biennial Draws Young Talents

On the afternoon of September 17, the First China-ASEAN Art Biennial, themed "Integration and Coexistence", commenced at the Guangxi Art Museum in Nanning, Guangxi. This exhibition showcases over 200 representative works from more than 190 celebrated artists hailing from both China and ASEAN countries.

Under the overarching theme of "Integration and Coexistence", the exhibition spans a wide spectrum of artistic forms, including Chinese painting, oil painting, watercolor, sculpture, and printmakingamong others. The participating

artists encompass established figures from China's art scene, emerging talents, as well as notable artists representing ASEAN countries like Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia.

This exhibition serves as a platform for storytelling and dialogue between China and ASEAN, employing art as a mediumto foster friendship and understanding. It will further facilitate cultural and artistic exchanges and collaboration between China and ASEAN countries, embodying the Silk Road spirit ofpeace,cooperation, openness,inclusiveness, mutual learningmutual benefit and win-winsolution.

Moreover, the biennial will feature a series of academic exchange activities, including concurrent art exhibitions, filed sketching tours, and forum lectures.
