Beijing International Intangible Cultural Heritage Week to be Held

On October 9th, the first "Beijing International Intangible Cultural Heritage Week" warm-up event was held at the Beijing Hongqiao Guantan Art Space.

It is reported that the first "Beijing International Intangible Cultural Heritage Week" will be held from October 22nd to 25th at Beijing National Agricultural Exhibition Hall and other places. The activities include the opening ceremony, international intangible cultural heritage exhibitions (public exhibitions from the afternoon of October 22nd to 25th), dialogue on intangible cultural heritage, and various venue activities. The aim is to build a platform for international exchange and cooperation on intangible cultural heritage, promote Chinese civilization to go global, and deepen cultural exchange and mutual learning among countries, promote the common development of global intangible cultural heritage.

As of now, nearly 20 countries, over 500 representatives, over 300 projects, and over 2,000 works have registered to participate in this International Intangible Cultural Heritage Week event. The event also invited 150 representatives from the field of intangible cultural heritage to participate in the dialogue session on intangible cultural heritage.

At the warm-up event site, intangible cultural heritage projects such as Kunqu Opera and floral tea production techniques, as well as woodblock watermark techniques, kite making techniques, traditional fragrance making techniques (medicinal fragrance making techniques), Beijing silk figurines, and Beijing West Shadow puppetry have all appeared.
