On October 8th, the special exhibition "Chinese Characters - Chinese Civilizationin its Language", which lasted for nearly four months, officially came to an end at the Chengdu Museum.

As an important supporting event for Cultural and Natural Heritage Day in 2023, this special exhibition has received strong support from 20 provinces and municipalities across the country, as well as 40 cultural and museum institutions. It has collected a total of 220 treasures, including 70 first-class cultural relics and over 90% of precious cultural relics. It is the highest level and heaviest proportion of precious cultural relics since the establishment of the Chengdu Museum.

It is reported that the "Chinese Characters" special exhibition has received over 1.4 million visitors, with young audiences accounting for up to 80% and visitors from outside the province accounting for over 60%. It has received over 100 domestic and foreign cultural and museum units, enterprises and institutions, and has visited nearly 200 provincial teams. Seven consecutive academic lectures and salons were held, and offline appointments were sold out within 10 minutes. The total number of online views was nearly 7 million. More than 40 themed activities have been launched during the exhibition, benefiting over a thousand houselholds.
