On October 28th, the 2023 International Academic Seminar on the Research and Protection of Yuanmingyuan was held at the Yuanmingyuan Ruins Park.

Themed "promoting the high-quality development of the protection and utilization of the Yuanmingyuan Site",the opening ceremony was held in the multi-functional hall of the Yuanmingyuan Management Office, where the academic achievements of the Yuanmingyuan Research University Alliance from 2022 to 2023were reviewed.

It isreportedthat the conference received more than 50 academic papers in related research fields, of which more than 20 papers were presented at the meeting. The academic seminar was held simultaneously in the mainvenue and three sub venues to allow for jointexploration of thetopics related to the protection and display of the sitesas a whole, the construction of its ecological environmentand the related historical and cultural research.
