On October 15th, the Calligraphy & Painting Exhibition to celebrate Qi Baishi’s 160th Anniversary was held in the CCPIT Culture and History Research Institute in Beijing.

The exhibition, themed “Enjoying Solitude”, displayed more than 100 works by the consultants and members of the institutein honor of Qi Baishi, the world-famous master in contemporary Chinese art , to carry forward his artistic spirit.

At the exhibition, a new book was released which features more than 100 calligraphy, painting and seal cutting works by Qi Baishi, each illustrated with a Chiense poem and commentary notes, in order to let more people get a better understanding of his works.
